About
I got my first camera when I was nine; a Kodak instamatic that I took pretty dreadful pictures with for years. My first SLR was an Olympus OM 10 that was a
21st birthday present; then when that was stolen I bought a Canon SLR. This was about the time I got the travel bug (although having lived in Kenya as a child it was always there); my photography improved as my passport filled with stamps. I changed to digital in 2003 and now have a vast library of photographs from around the world, as well as lots of kit to lug around!
My first love is wildlife photography as it is such a challenge, but as long as I have a camera in my hand I am happy whatever the subject matter. Some of the best subjects are not far from my own doorstep in London (like Blackheath above), but Africa and the Polar regions are my favourite destinations for photography.
